Karen White is an all-time favorite author of mine and Falling Home does not disappoint. White takes you along with her character “Cassie” back to her southern roots in Georgia. She has moved so far away from home, becoming a true Manhattan resident. She traded all her southern “trappings” as she thought of them for a more sophisticated lifestyle. Now she has been called back by her sister because her father is dying. When Cassie left home, it was the last time she spoke with her sister, because Harriet had married that man who broke Cassie’s heart. She returns home to meet Harriet and Joe’s five children and to say goodbye to her father. She has a finance in Manhattan who also happens to be her boss, but, Sam Parker, the town’s doctor and former classmate is looking pretty good to her. Now what? Soon Cassie is seeing her hometown differently and wondering just where she fits in now. Great story! Enjoy!
